For example, it is estimated that in Spain for every person, three of them between the ages of 18 and 35 have put a tattoo on their skin.
Generally, we know many things about designs, styles or different methods of tattooing. We can even specialize in learning how to tattoo and design.

Do you know how long it takes to heal a tattoo?
That’s why today I’m going to share with you some of the best tattoo healing techniques. I’ll also tell you what steps you need to take to get a well healed tattoo.
How long does it take for a tattoo to heal?
The healing time of a tattoo depends on several factors.
The main and most determining factor is that each person’s body is different, some people find it more difficult to heal from a wound, and there are also people who take longer to have a tattoo healed.
The most important thing about getting a tattoo cured is to prevent infections or diseases.
Therefore, one of the main guidelines that we must take into account is to have good personal hygiene and the place where the tattoo is going to be performed, these two points are important and should go together.
The main risks to keep in mind
There are some risks that should be assessed before getting a tattoo. As we commented before, one of the main factors that we must always take into account is the space and tools that will be used during the process of creating the tattoo.
The premises, shops and tattoo studios where this activity takes place must comply with regulations and standards of quality and hygiene.
And if you do not know, each country and each community generally has autonomy in its health rules so you must be aware of how they are being applied.
When you enter the premises, you must validate that the tattooist uses disposable needles, use antibacterial soap to wash the hands and gloves used in each session are new. You should also make sure that the work area is disinfected and clean before using it.
How to care for a new tattoo step by step
Don’t forget that, no matter how much ink it has, a tattoo is a wound on our skin, because it emanates blood, so before you ask yourself how long it takes for a tattoo to heal, take a few points into account. One of the most urgent is to get this opening closed as soon as possible and prevent the ink from coming out.
That’s why I’m going to tell you step by step what we need to do if we want the healing to happen as soon as possible. Take this into account:
Ideally, your tattoo should be at least all day bandaged and covered. In addition you will have to cover it, at least 24 hours. You can use both small and large bandages.
If you keep your skin well protected from external threats such as dust, bacteria or sunlight, you’ve got a good start.
Also keep in mind that before you cover your new tattoo the skin has to be completely clean. The cleaning you should do on the tattoo area should be at least 3 times a day.
2.- Cleaning the tattoo
A few hours after getting your tattoo, it is normal for some ink to come out of your skin. Don’t worry about that because the most important thing is to remove the ink that is left over.
To achieve this, clean with neutral pH soap and lukewarm water.
Massage the tattoo area with your hands, removing any traces of blood and ink.
Once you have finished, you will have to dry the area completely by means of soft blows and a towel.
Once 24 hours have elapsed from the tattoo, it is time to remove the bandage.
And on the second day of healing it is important to leave the wound outdoors to prevent it from being infected by microbes generated in wounds that do not have oxygen.
4.- Moisturizing or healing creams
Get a moisturizing and protective cream, in the market there are several creams, if you do not know which cream to choose, it is very important that you take into account the ingredients it has.
Avoid creams with perfumes or allergic products. You know your skin and you will know which products damage your skin, but always consult your pharmacist.
You can use a healing product. I recommend that you consider the ingredients. Some of the most commonly used are those containing dexpanthenol, a component that stimulates the natural regeneration process of our skin.
It has become fashionable a cream made by expert tattooists. But even if they recommend a good cream, the best thing is to make sure that the product you are going to use offers guarantees.
What happens after the first few days?
After these first days where we have to take more care of our skin. the tattoo will create a crust. That’s normal and you should know that by now.
You have to know how long it takes for a tattoo to heal, really if you do it right you will see that the scab is going to be removed quickly. Don’t manipulate it for anything, you have to let it heal on its own by applying the methods I have shared with you.
Scabs are one of the clearest signs that the tattoo is healing well.
Another symptom that we are doing well is when you start to feel itching in the tattoo area.
The most important thing is that you don’t tear that wound, so you avoid the scab reopening.
Let everything follow its natural process so that the tattoo heals perfectly.
Finally, when this itch ceases to exist and disappears, you will realize that your body has already overcome the wound of the tattoo, just be patient that way you will get the best results. And wear a nice tattoo
You’ll be proud!
